Junior room 3 - Mrs Ratchford
In Junior Room 3, we have fun, learning and growing through programmes tailored to suit our individual needs. The visual strategies and supports in our class setting, help us to access the curriculum in a more structured and meaningful way.
We use a thematic approach to learning. In addition to numeracy and literacy, we enjoy a range of other activities including attention autism, structured play and music therapy. We aim to encourage and develop communication skills and encourage independence across all areas. We work in small groups, and also have one to one learning which focuses on our individual targets. We love to use the facilities here in school such as the Soft play room, sensory circuits and our sensory room.
There is daily contact with home, keeping our parents up to date with what we have been up to.
