Multi Sensory Junior - Mrs Harte/ Mrs Jones
We have 6 fantastic children in our class
We follow a Multi- Sensory Curriculum. The children experience an interactive curriculum including Sensory Stories, Sensory Art, I.C.T, Sensory Room, Tacpac, Religion, Parachute, Jo Jingles, Mindfulness, Story Massage, Holistic Music programmes, Hydrotherapy and a range of other interactive lessons.
Communication is key in our classroom. Staff are all trained in Intensive Interaction, we use assistive technology, objects of reference and photograph communication.
We work closely with Music therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Community Nursing Team and Speech Therapists.
Children use therapy equipment in school under the guidance of our Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapists.
The staff of Multi Sensory Junior are trained to cater to the complex medical needs of our class. We work closely with our local Community Nursing Team.
We are a Forest School and use our forest school facilities to enrich our curriculum.
We are child led in our approach to learning and the children have alot of fun at school. We have lots of laughter in Multi Sensory Junior.
