1R - Mrs Ratchford
In Key Stage1R, we have fun, learning and growing through programmes tailored to suit our individual needs. The visual strategies and supports in our class setting, ensure that pupils needs are met emotionally, and help us to access the curriculum in a more structured and meaningful way.
We use a thematic approach to learning. In addition to numeracy and literacy, we enjoy a range of other activities including attention autism, sensory stories, and music and movement . We aim to encourage and develop communication skills and encourage independence across all areas. We work in small groups, and also have one to one learning which focuses on our individual targets. We love to use the facilities here in school such as the Soft play room, our sensory room and our Forest School.
There is daily contact with home, keeping our parents up to date with what we have been up to.
