3K Shared Island Project at the Share Centre 23/10/2425 October 2024 (by Darrell McBrien (dmcbrien991)) |
Class 3K took part in the Shared Island Project today at the Share Centre. This involved getting together with Holy Family School from Cootehill and using our creative skills to design both a tile mosaic and t-shirt. The students absolutely loved the activities and they made some friends from Holy Family which was excellent to see. This venture allowed our children at Willowbridge to showcase their many talents and impressive artistic skills, but perhaps more importantly, to demonstrate their excellent manners and humility in how they interacted with the students from Holy Family. Indeed, it was remarked on several times by the group leaders at how well-behaved and respectful our students were.
Holy Family were so taken by our group that Andrea McHugh the Vice-Principal has invited us to a football blitz in the not-too-distant future. They are really excited about the prospect of strengthening links with us and developing greater pathways of developing our learning experiences together.
Finally, I have attached some photos of the event today, which should give you a real sense of the creativity and engagement on offer.
Below is the link to Holy Family School and what they had up on their website regarding our meet up at the Share Centre.
