Superkind Social Impact Awards

11 March 2025 (by Darrell McBrien (dmcbrien991))

As part of our Superkind Social Impact Awards, our Senior school are working towards FIVE Brone awards before Easter, and we will then make sure we get the remaining Bronze awards after Easter.  This is all being led by our School Council.  Our 5 awards are:
  • Starting a Club
  • Making a Poster
  • Organising an event
  • Donating
  • Changing their behaviour
  1. Starting a club: - Every Monday and Thursday at Break and Lunch our walking and running club will be taking place from Monday 24th March
  2. Making a poster: Everyone in the Senior School has to make their own posters advertising getting outside to get healthy and walk or run.  They need to be ready by Thursday 20st March and the top 5 will be called up for their prizes in assembly. These can be completed in any format at all!
  3. Organising an event: Thankfully the School Council are on the ball!  On the 29th April everyone in the school will be wearing blue to raise awareness for the 'Make a Wish Organisation'.  On the same Day they are lighting the castle up blue and you are invited to go and see it between 8 & 12.
  4. Donating:  We will ask you to bring in some money for the 'Make a Wish' organisation on the 29th April when we wear blue,  which will show up in our online money pot.
  5. Changing behaviour: Some / all of the above may mean pushing/shoving us all out of our comfort zones.  The Student Council will be encouraging all pupils AND staff to get out and be active as the weather improves.  As we get this up and running we will involve more and more junior classes.
This year it is our aim to be a BRONZE Social impact school, next year we will aim for silver and in 2026/27 we will be going for gold!
